Luck and risk - they are cousins! You cannot think of one while completely forgetting the other.

Stories / outcomes heavily relying on luck, whether successful or failed, offer very limited usable learning. Such outcomes are like samples that are at the far tail end of a long tail distribution. The multitude of factors that would have had to align in a certain way is too great to derive any meaningful insight.
